The Deal

Bill Engvall

Many a great joke has been told by simply pointing out the absurd—a technique that [Bill Engvall](http://www.billengvall.com/about.php) has mastered. The actor and comedian's signature bit, "Here's Your Sign", is founded on the simple premise that those who ask stupid questions should come with warning labels. On his first platinum-certified comedy album, also called Here's Your Sign, Engvall imagines a world in which this might happen, to insightful, hilarious results.

One of the stars of the Blue Collar Comedy tour and the WB's Blue Collar TV, Bill has also brought his wry style to films, comedy albums, and game shows. For three seasons, he starred in and produced the appropriately-titled Bill Engvall Show, and now voices the cleverly named character of "Bill" on CMT's animated series Bounty Hunters.

State Theatre

The State Theatre was saved, as its website states, from "the ravages of time." Built in 1921 as a vaudeville and silent-film palace, the venue fell on hard times in the 1970s. In 2003, however, a $3 million renovation restored the State Theatre to much of its original glory, as crews painstakingly rehabbed the ornamental plaster, terracotta exterior, and actor holding cells. Inside the theater, a stunning chandelier sparkles more brightly than ever below the venue's signature dome.
