What You’ll Do
Glassblowing combines the artistry of sculpting with the inherent drama of fire, and you’ll be introduced to the unique art form in this two-hour class. After a safety talk and a brief overview of the history of glassblowing and the facilities at Public Glass, you’ll collaborate with skilled professional instructing artists to design and blow a custom drinking glass.
Learn Glassblowing Techniques
A public glass artist demonstrates the process of blowing glass and walks students through crafting their own piece.
Create Your Own Drinking Glass
Design and help blow your custom drinking glass, then pick it up the next day or arrange to have it shipped for an additional fee.
A second-generation glass artist, Brynn Hurlstone learned about blown glass from her father—but it wasn’t until college that her own passion for the art emerged. After earning a degree in 3D Fine Art—with an emphasis in glass and sculpture—Brynn fine-tuned her craft by creating her own pieces and assisting masters including Martin Blank and Dale Chihuly. Brynn currently work as the Operations and Events Coordinator and an Instructor at Public Glass.
