In a Nutshell

Seven-bout night headlined by Pennsylvania Lightweight Championship fight between undefeated Naim "The Dream" Nelson and Georgi Kevlishvili

The Fine Print

Watching an athlete succeed is supremely satisfying, though curiously, so is watching a dam fail. Feel the rush with this Groupon Live deal to the War at the Forge at Valley Forge Casino Resort on Friday, March 15, at 7:15 p.m. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Choose from three seating options:

  • $25 for one ticket for general admission (up to a $47.12 value, including all fees).
  • $40 for one ticket for ringside seating (up to a $77.87 value, including all fees).
  • $65 for one ticket for VIP seating (up to a $129.12 value, including all fees).

With quick feet and quicker gloves, boxing’s modern gladiators are set to take to the ring at the Valley Forge Casino Resort for an event known simply as the War at the Forge. The night’s seven-bout card is capped by a fast-moving Pennsylvania State Lightweight Championship fight between titleholder Naim "The Dream" Nelson, who enters the fight undefeated in his professional career, and challenger Georgi Kevlishvili, a 31-year-old journeyman from the Republic of Georgia.

Valley Forge Casino Resort

A mechanical bull bucks in Deuces Wild Buckin' Bull Saloon, Valley Forge Casino Resort's onsite rock-‘n’-roll and country bar. Revelers clad in cowboy boots strut through line dances with drinks in hand beneath the dance floor's green and blue lights. But unlike the Wild West, there's no blazing desert outside. Instead, there are 3,600 lush acres of national-park land, whose hiking trails hibernate beneath glinting winter snow.

Inside the hotel, 600 slot machines and 50 tables of blackjack, craps, and roulette fill the casino. Seven onsite restaurants cater to different cravings: there's casual sushi at Asianoodle, and Pacific Prime's upscale atmosphere complements dishes such as maine lobster and loch duart scottish salmon.

The Groupon Guide to: Playground Games

Although scientists have tried to quash children's dangerously powerful imaginations with high-tech video games and distracting pocket telephones, they have still been unable to fully eliminate these popular technology-free schoolyard games:

Red Rover: Two opposing chains of locked-arm children take turns volleying sacrificial members of their row toward the other chain in hopes of breaking it. The first team to be dragged into the pond loses.

Hidesies & Findsies: One player covers their eyes and counts as high as he is able to while the other players go hither and elsewhiles, squeezing themselves into hollow logs and crevices. The last player to be found is the winner, and it is now their turn to cover their eyes and be abandoned by their friends.

Freeze Tag: Regular tag played cautiously on the surface of a frozen lake

Red Light, Green Light: This imaginative game of stop and go allows children a safe outlet in which to exercise their secret desire to play in traffic. The winner is parents.
