In a Nutshell

Sultry songs such as "All That Jazz" and "Cell Block Tango" snake through a dark, Prohibition-era musical comedy

The Fine Print

Musicals have always brought impossible dreams to life on stage, from cats that can talk to humans who can sing in public without feeling weird. Escape from reality with this GrouponLive deal to see Chicago—A Musical Vaudeville at Broadway Theatricals in Fontana. Choose from the following seating options:

  • For $14, you get two tickets for side seating (up to a $32.40 value, including all fees).
  • For $16, you get two tickets for center seating (up to a $36.60 value, including all fees).

For either option, choose from the following performances:

  • Friday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 3, at 3:30 p.m.

Doors open 30 minutes before each performance.

A universal tale of fame, fortune, and all that jazz, Chicago—A Musical Vaudeville captivates audiences as unsavory characters sing sultry numbers on the streets of the Prohibition-era Windy City. Velma Kelly is a vivacious vaudevillian who also happens to be a cold-blooded killer. She competes for celebrity status and the attention of lawyer Billy Flynn against fellow murderess and performer Roxie Hart. Audiences witness jailhouse tangos, courthouse rumbles, and scene after scene of dancing, all while wondering when the chorus line of Sears Towers is going to show up.

Classic Chicago numbers include the percussive, saucy "Cell Block Tango," in which a septet of incarcerated sirens swap murderous anecdotes, and the smoky, whole-company piece "All That Jazz." The fringed and fishnetted Broadway musical is so beloved that in 2002 it was turned into a film starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere, and Renée Zellweger.

Broadway Theatricals

Broadway Theatricals' aim is to bring the scale and professionalism of the Great White Way to the Inland Empire community via hard-hitting musical numbers and incredibly elaborate production designs. The group estimates that its musicals and straight plays draw a consistent crowd of about 600, only a few of whom are ghosts that live in the theater’s basement. More that 100 actors—a mix of pros and newcomers—have passed through the sets of the company’s trademark crowd-pleasers since the company's 2011 inception.

The Groupon Guide to: Novelty Glasses

While traditional glasses are a handsomeness-destroying nuisance worn out of necessity rather than choice, many eccentric types have put a twist on the formula to come up with a popular variety of "novelty" spectacles. Which one is right for you?

Shutter Shades: You can see out, but no one else can see in, thus preserving for your future wife the honor of looking into your eyes for the first time.

Groucho Glasses: Styled after a popular comedian born in 1890, the world's last remaining pair of Groucho glasses will be recovered in 2029 by a boy rooting around in his grandfather's attic. The boy will briefly try them on, turning to his cousin to say "Hey, Jason, look—I'm a mustache man."

Dangling Slinky Eyeballs: These are gross, man—get 'em outta here!

Oversized Sunglasses: If regular sunglasses send the message "I'm here to party," then these oversized versions loudly declare "I am the party." If you're not wearing a pair of these right now, go back to bed and try life again tomorrow.

Can a pair of novelty glasses transform your entire life? Find out here.
