The best children's shows place a high premium on audience interaction, unlike the opera or traffic court. Rustle up some kid-friendly fun with this GrouponLive deal to see The Velveteen Rabbit at the Bergen Performing Arts Center. For $19, you get one G-Pass for orchestra, mezzanine, or platinum seating on Saturday, April 6, at 4 p.m. (up to a $38.05 value, including all fees). Doors open one hour before showtime. Because the ticket is a G-Pass, Groupon customers can use it to enter the venue directly; they will not need to redeem their Groupon at will call.

Based on the much-beloved story by Margery Williams, The Velveteen Rabbit resonates with audiences of all ages. A soft toy rabbit has only three desires: to love his boy, to be loved by him, and to become real someday without being swallowed by a whale. Despite being mocked by fancier wind-up toys at first, the inanimate bunny gradually becomes his owner's favorite, sleeping, playing, and adventuring with him nearly every day—until the boy's diagnosis of scarlet fever jeopardizes all his playthings.

Due to security restrictions, G-Passes must be printed out and presented in person at the event. They cannot be redeemed through Groupon's mobile app.

Bergen Performing Arts Center

In 2004—on a mission to bolster its community’s wellspring of creativity and education—the nonprofit Bergen Performing Arts Center took over the former John Harms Center, an art-deco-style movie and vaudeville palace built in 1922. Today, in the same antique theater where Frank Capra screened his first car chase, the Bergen Performing Arts Center hosts 150 yearly events that bring dance, music, and theatrical productions to an estimated 250,000 annual audience members. Networks such as HBO, PBS, and MTV all have filmed international broadcasts on Bergen Performing Arts Center’s stage, which has seen the likes of Diana Krall, Heart, and ZZ Top.

The Groupon Guide to: the Dream Team

The Dream Team was the best that ever was. Their dunking, shooting, and passing abilities skyrocketed them to the top of the international basketball scene. Let’s take a look at some of the skills that earned them this nickname:

Michael Jordan
Specialty: The one where all his teeth would fall out

Larry Bird
Specialty: The one where he would be late for a basketball test and he would show up naked and everyone would be disappointed in him

Magic Johnson
Specialty: He’s at his house but his house is the beach and he’s crying because he will never be able to eat all the steaks in the world.

Charles Barkley
Specialty: A dream about going to the bathroom

Patrick Ewing
Specialty: He’s being chased by a shadowy figure. He runs and runs but his legs move as though stuck in some demonic pudding. A cold sweat breaks upon his face as above, one by one, the stars burn out. All is black. The figure is near. He tries to scream. He has no mouth. His beloved crossover dribbles and layups are useless now. They cannot save him.

What were the specialties of the Dream Team? Find out in today’s Groupon Guide.
