In a Nutshell

Acclaimed children’s theater delights young and old with stage productions of a timeless space adventure and a fairy-tale parody

The Fine Print

The best children's shows place a high premium on audience interaction, unlike the opera or traffic court. Rustle up some kid-friendly fun with this GrouponLive deal to Dallas Children’s Theater. For $26, you get two tickets for best-available seating (up to a $54 value, depending on the show chosen). Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. Choose from the following shows:

A Wrinkle in Time is recommended for ages 7 and over while The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs is recommended for ages 5 and above.

A Wrinkle in Time

Adapted in time for the 50th anniversary of the classic novel, A Wrinkle in Time follows Meg, her brother Charles, and schoolmate Calvin on an adventure through the universe. When Meg’s scientist father mysteriously disappears, the three find themselves hopping from planet to planet in hopes of saving him. But, as they meet strange extraterrestrials and confront sinister beings, their rescue mission turns into an endeavor far more consequential.

The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs

Returning from their national tour, the Dallas Children’s Theater players delight the home crowd with a musical interpretation of the popular children’s book The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs. The show opens with Alexander T. Wolf standing trial for aggravated huffing and puffing. He tells his side of the story in hopes of proving his innocence, but pigs run the entire court system, from the judge, The Honorable Prudence Pig, to the prosecutor, Julia. However, a reporter named Lillian Magill seems determined to hear out Al’s story. Once all the evidence is presented, it rests on the audience to determine whether the wolf is as big and bad as the porcine media would have them believe.

The Groupon Guide to: Being a Millionaire

Television has taught us that there is practically no limit to the luxury that possessing exactly one million dollars ($1,000,000) can bring. Once you have this exact amount of money, here are the things that you can and must buy:

  • A boat of any size—all boat sizes, like fast-food soft drinks, cost the same amount of money
  • A swimming pool full of gold coins, plus a regular swimming pool you can actually use and enjoy
  • One of those money quilts that rap sensations The Fresh Five wore as capes to the Grammy Awards this year
  • A valuable painting, like a painting of a diamond
  • A butler
  • A butlerer (butler for your butler)
  • A car so fast that driving it even briefly is guaranteed to ruin your life and the life of anyone who sees you
  • A star named after yourself—you’re worth it, baby

What are some things that every millionaire can and must purchase? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
