What You'll Do

Though far from conventional, the human body can actually be the most expressive canvas. You'll learn just that during this body-painting class, where you'll pair up with a classmate and take turns being the painter and the canvas. Danny Setiawan, founder of DenArt NY Studio, will lead the session and assist you and your partner with design ideas and painting techniques. All necessary supplies will be provided, and students can bring a bottle of wine to get the creative juices flowing.

  • Be the Painter and the Canvas
With guidance from the instructor, paint a collaborative design on your partner's body, then switch roles and serve as the canvas yourself

  • Fly Solo or Come with Friends
Guests who come together can paint each other; solo guests will be paired with other solo guests

  • Nudity Fine, but Not Required
While some guests prefer to be topless for body painting, you can opt to wear a backless shirt and have a design painted onto your back.

  • BYOB
Students can bring wine to sip on throughout the session

Master Painter, Co-founder of DenArt studio

Danny Setiawan wanted to make an impact with his art, so he tossed aside the traditional canvas and turned to another medium: the human body. This shift to body painting certainly paid off; Danny has made numerous television appearances, worked for clients like Roberto Cavalli and Kings of Leon, and even won the Unique Art Award from the Society of Unique Artists in 2011. He also runs DenArt studio, a body-painting and photography studio open to the general public.
