Saturday's first game showcases a matchup between the Southeastern and Missouri Valley Conferences as the Rebels of Ole Miss face off against the Sycamores of Indiana State. Ole Miss rattled off six wins to open their season behind an offensive attack led by guard Marshall Henderson's 17.2 points and senior forward Murphy Holloway's 10.3 rebounds per game. Sharpshooting Sycamore Lucas Eitel has planted himself firmly behind the arc so far this season, hitting 63% of his three-point shots and going 9-of-9 from the field with seven threes in a recent game.

For the second contest, the San Diego State Aztecs, starting the season hot after a tough opening round lost in last year's NCAA tournament, will take the court against the University of San Francisco Dons. The Aztecs have already taken down ranked opponents, carving out a 78–69 win over UCLA, and will need to be on the top of their game against San Francisco's squad, including one of the nation's leading rebounders in forward Cole Dickerson.

As the brackets begin to fill out on Sunday, fans will be able to catch matches between the winners and losers from Saturday's games.
