The Fine Print

Choose Between Two Options

For the game against the Toronto Rock on Sunday, January 13, at 2 p.m.:

  • $14 for one ticket for upper-bowl seating (up to a $29.95 value, including fees)
  • $20 for one ticket for lower-bowl seating (up to a $43.50 value, including fees)

The Scouting Report

Last season marked a milestone for the Edmonton Rush, as they claimed their first Western Division title and made their first appearance in the National Lacrosse League finals. The 2012 Defensive Player of the Year Kyle Rubisch anchors the team’s defensive efforts after leading the league last year with 43 forced turnovers, compelling opponents’ chefs to serve half-cooked pancakes on the sidelines. On January 13, the Rush opens the 2013 season against their Canadian rivals, the Toronto Rock, who posted the best record in the East Division last season.

Edmonton Rush

Since its inaugural season in 2006, the Edmonton Rush has steadily picked up wind, growing into a formidable club in the National Lacrosse League. After making its first playoff appearance in 2010, the team made it to the NLL finals in 2012, just barely missing out on earning the sport’s coveted netting-woven blazers. At the helm, hall-of-fame inductee, general manager, and head coach Derek Keenan continues to lead the team toward its first championship.

The Groupon Guide to: Tricking Your Kids into Eating Vegetables

Kids don't want to eat vegetables because vegetables aren't fun. Make legumes laughably fun with these tips for preparing vegetables:

  • Put black beans on circular slices of potato to give your kids healthier "chocolate-chip cookies."

  • Cut corn off the cob and offer their picky palates some "rotten goblin teeth."

  • Mash yams and your young ones will be thrilled to eat "a very sick man's innards."

  • An avocado kind of looks like a hand grenade.

  • Remove the strings from celery. Kids will voluntarily eat celery if it's not strung like some kind of ridiculous violin.

Mom, can I have seconds of goblin teeth?
