Learn the kitchen secrets of food and wine trucks with this GrouponLive deal presented by The Good Life Festival at Encanterra Country Club. For $14, you get one ticket to the cooking expo on Saturday, February 9, from noon to 5 p.m. (up to a $28 value, including all fees). Ticket includes entry, celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, Fleetwood Mac tribute band concert, and a complimentary dessert sample from Sprinkles Cupcakes of Scottsdale (while supplies last). Wine tasting passports will be available for $20 and additional wine, beer, and cocktails will also be available for purchase.

The ongoing party that is The Good Life Festival rolls through Encanterra Country Club once more, this time with a lineup of hometown chefs, Food Network celebrities, and live musicians in tow. When the gates open at noon, guests can wander the grounds in search of cuisine from local food trucks, as well as scheduled wine tastings. Afterward, two of Phoenix's finest kitchen maestros dazzle audiences with their cooking demonstrations. Petite Maison chef James Porter (12:30 p.m.) shares the secrets behind some of his distinctly unpretentious French dishes, many of which are made with local ingredients and humanely raised baguettes. The laid-back Aaron May throws his own spatula into the ring at 1 p.m., showing onlookers why his classically trained skills have made local favorites of eateries such as Over Easy, The Lodge, and Renegade Tap and Kitchen.

A charismatic and down-to-earth gourmand with a knack for enticing yet simple meals, Tyler Florence (1:30 p.m.) rose to fame on such shows as How to Boil Water, Food 911, and The Great Food Truck Race, making him a logical choice for an event showcasing some of the area's finest roaming restaurants. At 2:15 p.m., Scottsdale’s own chocolate-making sensation Julia Baker demos her signature baking talents. Food Network fixture Duff Goldman—best known as the mastermind behind Charm City Cakes and its beloved reality series, Ace of Cakes—shows off some of his tastiest confections during his cooking demo at 2:45 p.m. To cap off the event, Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks tribute band Bella Donna takes the stage at 3:30 p.m., enchanting audiences and overheating wind machines during a 90-minute set loaded with hits such as the ethereal “Dreams” and “Edge of Seventeen (Just Like the White Winged Dove).”

Monologues are the most boring part of plays since they only involve a single performer and that single performer is never an adorable baby actor. To make these seemingly unending passages more interesting, follow these helpful tips:

  • Do something interesting with your voice. You could give your character an accent or, if you can't do a convincing accent, just yell the entire time.

  • Cut out all the unnecessary words, such as articles and any full sentences that don't foreshadow how the main character is a group of children hiding inside a man's suit.

  • Wear a funky hat or rad loafers. That'll give the audience something to look at!

  • Perform it with multiple people and tell the director you're going to start calling it a fun-o-logue.
