The Scouting Report
As the ECHL celebrates its 25th season, the relatively young IceMen continue to stake their rightful claim in the league's standings. After amassing 92 points last season, including 69 assists, center Todd Robinson has continued his selfless ways, leading the team with 18 assists in 21 appearances this year. Robinson leads the roster along with familiar IceMen Matt Gens, a staunch defensive force, and Josh Beaulieu, who has accrued a team-high 26 points in 29 games.
Because the ticket is a G-Pass, Groupon customers can use it to enter the venue directly; they will not need to redeem their Groupon at will call.
Due to security restrictions, G-Passes must be printed out and presented in person at the event. They cannot be redeemed through Groupon's mobile app.
It didn't take long for the first professional hockey team in Evansville to make their mark; in just their second year in the All American Hockey League, in 2010, the fledgling IceMen won the Davidson Cup in seven games. Though that first clan of IceMen has since gone extinct, the team soon resurrected as part of the ECHL, where they serve as the minor-league affiliate of both the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Saint Louis Blues. During games, fans fill the 9,400-seat Ford Center arena as the polar-bear mascot, Blizzard, entertains crowds and teaches children of the dangers of costume warming.
