Your Host

Floyd A. Davis IV Floyd A. Davis
Artist and Carpenter

Growing up in Antioch, Illinois, Floyd A. Davis IV could always be found with a handsaw or hammer in his hands, creating forts on his family's property. That love of woodworking has followed him throughout his life, from art school to a gig making clothing displays for a national corporation. Now ensconced in Artpentry—his own studio—he creates whimsical works of art such as "lumbeards," which mirror his own fulsome beard with wooden carvings, and his most famous project, the Gentleman's Boombox, which takes vintage pieces of luggage and transforms them into high-end sound systems.
