In a Nutshell

Three-day celebration of aviation and automobiles hosts acrobatic flying performances, vintage cars, and World War II reenactments

The Fine Print

Airplanes are thrilling and majestic to watch, especially when they're shredding through vengeful, murderous clouds. Be a vapor gaper with this GrouponLive deal to the Greenwood Lake Airshow at Greenwood Lake Airport. The show runs August 16–18, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Children aged 4–12 are normally admitted for $10 each day, and children younger than 4 are admitted for free. Choose between the following options:

  • $25 for two one-day tickets (up to a $50 value)
  • $45 for four one-day tickets (up to a $100 value)

Next, choose from the following days:

  • Friday, August 16
  • Saturday, August 17
  • Sunday, August 18

In the summer skies of August, the wailings of plane engines arc overhead, drawing eyes upward where skilled pilots display aerial acrobatics. The Greenwood Lake Airshow offers more than T-6 formation flights and close passes of Yak-52Ws, though. Peppered across the airport grounds, vintage cars and hot rods hark back to the days of motor-city dominance and roller-skating politicians. World War II reenactment troupes, joined by the real-life Tuskegee Airmen, show off authentic field tents filled with replica gear and faithfully attired soldiers.

The festivities of land and sky combine, turning heads as Jane Wicker treats her biplane like a jungle gym, hanging by her legs from its wings and standing upright as it flips, before pulling them back down to a parked C-47. Also on display, the FLS Microjet—whose predecessor starred in Octopussy as Bond’s love interest—shows that big power certainly can come in a small package. Meanwhile, mouths already agape at the aeronautic displays can be filled with American concessions such as hot dogs, burgers, and cheesesteaks.

It's been too long since Hollywood made a movie about a baby confidently crawling around a precarious place. Here are some entertaining places where a baby can crawl around and be chased by criminals:

  • Bowling alley
  • Kitchen of a fancy restaurant
  • Dining room of a fancy restaurant
  • Renaissance faire
  • Competitive-eating competition
  • Spooky mansion
  • Ventilation system of a skyscraper
  • The Space Needle

  • Warehouse filled with baby dolls
  • Abandoned International Space Station
  • Museum where all the guards are asleep
  • Background of a mattress-store commercial
  • Science lab with some shrink rays and star gates
  • The 2013 Masters at Augusta National Golf Club

Houston, we have a baby.
