When he arrived at Ford’s Theatre on April 14, 1865, Charles Leale was only 23 years old. A scant six weeks after completing his medical degree, the young doctor would be the first on the scene after Abraham Lincoln’s shooting and would stay by the president’s side until his passing nine hours later. He wrote a report of the fateful night soon after, but it would disappear for more than a century, only to be rediscovered in 2012. Now, musical virtuoso Hershey Felder—famed for his one-man shows about George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein, and Ludwig van Beethoven—slips into the medic’s blue uniform to share his story. Set in New York City in 1932, Felder channels an aging Leale as he recounts the night in question in a show the Los Angeles Times says “moves and inspires.” The gravity of the work is heightened by the music of a live orchestra, which performs an original score composed by Felder and includes such period pieces as “My Old Kentucky Home” and “Beautiful Dreamer.” Director Joel Zwick brings a sense of spectacle to the production, displaying the theatricality he’s exhibited as a director of television and the hit comedy film My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

Due to security restrictions, G-Passes must be printed out and presented in person at the event. They cannot be redeemed through Groupon's mobile app.

The Groupon Guide to: Blowing Kisses

Any love-struck fool can form a crude pucker and exhale over an open palm, but it takes a true master to pull off any of these advanced kiss-blowing maneuvers:

  • The Train Whistle
  • The Heart-Shaped Puff
  • The Over-the-Shoulder Bolder Smolder
  • The Taste the Rainbow (Skittles trickle out)
  • The Take Back JK Here You Go Don’t Cry
  • The Silent but Deadly but Romantic
  • The Indecent Proposal (blows wedding ring directly onto finger)

Have you ever blown anyone a kiss? Not like this, I bet.
