What You’ll Do
The innovative practice of 3D printing is the exact opposite of sculpting. Instead of chiseling away material, it adds material layer by layer until it builds an object as simple as a cookie cutter or as complex as a prototype for a new product. During this event, the experts from HoneyPoint3D explain the technology and scanning process of 3D printing before showing you an up-close printer demonstration from a Type A New Generation printer. You’ll also watch a member of your group get scanned on a human turntable for a 3D model. The event is for ages 7 and up and is wheelchair accessible. Street parking is available.
3D Printing Lecture
The experts at HoneyPoint3D explain exactly how 3D printing works to create different objects and implications the technology may have for medicine, artists, inventors, designers, educators, gaming and more
Before and after the lecture, attendees can view 3D printers up close, demo related technologies, and watch someone get scanned for a 3D model
Food and Drinks Available
Attendees can eat free light appetizers and purchase drinks from a cash bar
