In a Nutshell

Crooning Australian quartet pays homage to Motown & doo-wop music in nationwide tour with classic hits such as "Dancing in the Street"

The Fine Print

The Motown sound embraced performers from soul, pop, and R & B backgrounds, though it cruelly rejected mountains, valleys, and rivers for their insufficient height, depth, and width. Revisit a beloved musical landscape with this GrouponLive deal to see Smokey Robinson Presents Human Nature: "The Motown Show." Choose between the following shows:

  • For $25, you get one ticket for reserved table seating at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire on Thursday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m. (a $68 value, including all fees).

  • For $25, you get one ticket for orchestra, mezzanine, or balcony seating at the Orpheum Theatre on Friday, May 4, at 8 p.m. (a $70.35 value, including all fees).

Twenty-two years ago in Sydney, Australia, then-high-school students Andrew Tierney, Mike Tierney, Phil Burton, and Toby Allen were drawn together by an anachronistic passion for Motown and doo-wop. Nine albums and a 2.5-year residency in Las Vegas later, the fresh-faced foursome are touring the land that spawned the music they love with a tour presented by Smokey Robinson, who joined in on the recording of "Get Ready" on their new album, The Motown Record, and also helped polish production values and fend off mood-killingly weepy clowns. Other classics in the quartet's repertoire include "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," "Dancing in the Street," and an a capella take on "Just My Imagination."

Originally constructed in 1852, the Orpheum Theatre has taken on many names and functions through its long life, serving as a showplace for vaudeville acts, films, and live productions. Its classically styled red velvet seats unfurl beneath a vaulted ceiling marked by ornate domes, intricate paintings, and dents where Andre the Giant famously bumped his head. The Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom also shares a similarly lengthy history, having opened its doors in 1899.

The Groupon Guide to: Everyday Workouts

The best way to get in shape is still through an exhaustive program of elective surgeries and daily wishing sessions, but there are some smaller steps we can take toward bodily wellness. Here are some simple things you can do every day to move toward a healthier you:

  • Take the stairs instead of spending your whole life only visiting places that are on the ground floor.
  • Replace your desk chair with a great dane wearing a saddle.
  • Write in cursive instead of print.
  • Offer to help lift one heavy thing each day, like a friend’s bookshelf or any wandering bears tranquilized in the suburbs that day.
  • Try walking instead of driving, and staying up all night teaching yourself to cry instead of sleeping.
  • Live at the top of a lighthouse for 40 years. The terrific loneliness is sure to help you pine the pounds away.
  • For every hour of TV you watch, take a 10-minute activity (active, intentional yelling) break.
  • Never use a knife to do something—you’re strong enough to do with your bare hands.
  • Don’t ever, ever sit down.

When's the last time you took a yelling break?
