In a Nutshell

Nationally renowned comics such as Marc Patrick split sides in a showroom near the neon wonders of the Las Vegas Strip

The Fine Print

Although not one of the five traditional senses, a sense of humor is the only thing that allows humans to answer knock-knocks at the door. You're there with this GrouponLive deal to L.A. Comedy Club, located in Windows at Bally's on the Las Vegas Strip. Choose between the following options:

  • For $12, you get one VIP ticket to any comedy show (a $45.95 value).
  • For $23, you get two VIP tickets to any comedy show (a $91.90 value).

Local fixtures and nationally touring laugh-getters split sides within L.A. Comedy Club's intimate showroom, whose high vaulted ceilings and crystal-clear views of the strip's chromatic landmarks leave ample room for Vegas-style luxury. Shows Wednesday–Sunday nights at 9:30 p.m. spotlight performers who have wiped away frowns and workday scowls in television appearances on Comedy Central, Showtime, and HBO.

VIP ticket holders can skip the long lines that snake along the Strip and snag seats in the front or back rows, the former of which hosts a Splash Zone that lies in the trajectory of involuntary spit-takes. Couples daring enough to drink libations during the set can upgrade to the all-you-can-drink-ticket option at the box office ($25 extra per person) and sip on well drinks and domestic beer until the last comic leaves the stage.

Upcoming Acts

Marc Patrick (February 20–24)
U.S. Air Force veteran seen performing alongside fellow comedians Jim Gaffigan, Pablo Francisco, and Kevin James

Warning: Contains mild language and the harsh realities of growing older

Johnny Sanchez (March 20–24)
Standup veteran seen on The Latin Kings of Comedy, The USO Comedy Tour, and Comics Unleashed

Warning: Contains bleeped language and apathy toward social-networking websites

L.A. Comedy Club

Strolling along Las Vegas Boulevard, visitors seeking laughter end up at L.A. Comedy Club, which is located in the Windows at Bally's. Performers have included A-list standups such as Loni Love and Doug Benson. Before entering Bally's, visitors can gaze at the Technicolor splendor of the Las Vegas Strip and the nearby Paris Las Vegas hotel and casino, whose electronic replica of the Montgolfier balloon whisks comics back to their hotels after their sets.

The Groupon Guide to: Valentine's Day Leftovers

For some people, the most difficult thing about Valentine's Day is deciding what to do with all the leftovers. Here are some suggestions of what to do with the day-after detritus:

  • Melt down chocolates and put them in little ghost-shaped molds to start stocking up for Halloween.

  • Once roses start to wilt and dry out, use their thorns to make devil horns for a naughty dog or precocious toddler.

  • Diamond shavings are glitter.

  • Recycle a Valentine's Day card by crossing out the part that says "Lisa, I will always love you. You are my angel and my strength" and writing "Deepest sympathies on the anniversary of your terrible comeuppance!"

  • Leftover candy hearts? More like delicious croutons!

Sweet croutons, this salad is good!

Reviews

  • One of my favorite comedy clubs in Vegas ... Large space, comfortable seating and laid back. Absolutely fantastic for locals and tourists alike
    Emily R., Yelp, 3/25/11
  • The comedians were quite funny, and if you're looking for a fun couple hours away from the tables, it's a good time.
