Legacy Amateur Series 12

On June 8, Legacy Amateur Series 12 bursts into Arena Theatre with a 20-match fight card brimming with up-and-coming MMA talent. Topping the bill, 125-lb. fighter Chris Rivera squares off against David Acosta in a title match that might come to blows if they can’t settle their dispute through words. Rivera (2–0) seeks to take down David Acosta (2–1), whose last bout was a one-round knockout victory at Legacy Amateur Series 11.

At Arena Theatre, nobody sits further than 60 feet from the stage. Most concertgoers who’ve squinted their ways through major concerts at other venues can attest that the Arena Theatre’s unique, in-the-round seating arrangement and revolving stage are causes for celebration. Since the 1970s, the state-of-the-art circumference has attracted a long list of legendary performers––including Willie Nelson, Tom Jones, and Aretha Franklin––into its intimate performance space. Four full-service bars allow quick access to refreshments, and enclosed parking protects exiting patrons from rainstorms or dive-bombing ostriches. While sinking into their comfy seats and savoring a flashy light system and stellar acoustics, fans can hear every sound as they discard their unnecessary opera glasses.
