For their 50th annual celebration, The Singing Christmas Tree’s carolers, dancers, musicians, performers, set designers, and workshop elves pull out all the stops with a light-studded set and heartwarming original story. Nearly 100,000 tiny bulbs twinkle on a tiered choir stand shaped as a traditional fir bristling with dulcet-toned branches that sings classic carols such as “O Holy Night,” “Hark! the Herald Angels Sing,” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” While the voices warm heart-cockles with the help of a full orchestra, a troupe of actors and actresses performs a holiday drama that stretches from a modern-day neighborhood all the way back to the very first Nativity.

A Tacoma tradition since its first production in 1963, The Singing Christmas Tree at Life Center Church has evolved from a relatively simple conical choir dressed in red and white to an extravagantly colorful affair decked in thousands of lights.
