Concert-goers sometimes leave with a memento handed down from the stage, such as a drumstick, a set list, or a plastic baggy full of famous-person sweat. Go home happy with this GrouponLive deal to see the Barenaked Ladies: Last Summer of Earth tour, starring the Barenaked Ladies at PNC Bank Arts Center on Saturday, July 20, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Each ticket holder will also receive a voucher for a download of the Barenaked Ladies’ forthcoming album, to be released this summer. Customers will receive an email in June to redeem their download when the album is released. Choose from the following seating options:

  • For $18, you get one ticket for the general-admission lawn (up to a $29.50 value, including all fees).
  • For $22, you get one ticket for seating in sections 401–405 (up to a $36.50 value, including all fees).

Barenaked Ladies

Canadian pop-rock troupers the Barenaked Ladies light up cranial lobes with their brainy pop, maintaining their reputation as an engaging live act with tight yet playful musicianship and a gregarious repartee with their adoring audiences. Their hook-laced lyrical patter and bookworm wit steered '90s hits such as “One Week,” “The Old Apartment,” and “If I Had $1,000,000” into perpetual ubiquity and later into a greatest-hits collection, Hits from Yesterday & the Day Before, released in 2011. Celebrating their 25th anniversary, the Barenaked Ladies return to the stage behind their newest compilation album of rarities, Stop Us If You’ve Heard This One Before. Also, singer and guitarist Ed Robertson’s voice recently reached a new level of orbit as he recorded a collaboration with astronaut Col. Chris Hadfield, who played guitar and sang from aboard the International Space Station.

Ben Folds Five

It’s no secret Ben Folds Five is actually a trio, but the band had no members for nearly a decade, having split amicably in 2000. Solo outings were well received, but it wasn’t the same as the magical combination of fuzz bass, jazzed-out drum fills, and rollicking piano, offset by a voice that fluctuated between bashful and angst ridden. The Five teamed up for what was meant to be a one-night-only concert in 2008. That one night led to a full-fledged reunion in 2012 and the release of their fourth full-length album, The Sound of the Life of the Mind. Live, fans can expect to hear the freewheeling newer cut “Michael Praytor, Five Years Later,” as well as exuberant classics like “Army,” and, of course, introspective numbers such as “Brick” off of the now-classic Whatever and Ever Amen. An added benefit to reuniting your beloved '90s pop trio? You get to work with Fraggles.

Guster

Formed by a trio of Tufts University freshmen in 1991, Guster's sound was simple: acoustic guitars, hand percussion, and insightful lyrics delivered through crystal-clear harmonies. That’s not to say their sound hasn’t evolved over the years. "Satellite" from 2006's Ganging Up on the Sun, for example, leads off with a rambling synth line that wraps the entire song in a tumbleweed, making for a distinctly Western vibe. But Guster’s roots run deep, despite being unplugged. The release of a live acoustic album in January 2013, recorded with the Guster String Players, more than proves their electricity-free bona fides.

Due to security restrictions, G-Passes must be printed out and presented in person at the event. They cannot be redeemed through Groupon's mobile app.

The Groupon Guide to: Using a Map

In this modern age of technology reliance, most people have completely forgotten how to use a good old-fashioned paper map. Here’s a quick refresher:

Find a place that sells maps. Maps are probably sold at like a map store? Look it up on your phone.

Buy a map at the place that sells the maps. Make sure you buy a good map. Use your phone to see who makes the best maps.

Unfold the map. This is the worst part. Put your phone in your pocket or your mouth for a minute while you use both hands to open up the stupid map.

Look at the map. This is the other worst part. You can only look at the map. It doesn’t do anything when you touch it or ask it to play the songs. It just sits there.

Go to the place on the map. Once you get there, use your phone to reflect sunlight onto the map so it burns. It burns away. It goes away. It doesn’t come back. The fire makes it nothing. Take a picture of the nothingness with your phone.

What is the most flammable kind of map? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
