What You'll Do

In the shuffle of big-city life, staying in the moment can be a challenge. Lodro Rinzler, a practicing Shambhala Buddhist, helps you quiet your mind and stay "awake" in the modern world through meditation. His teachings focus on how to enrich your life—one that can still include beer, sex, and other social indulgences—via incorporating a meditation practice that helps reduce stress and raise one's energy level. In addition to practicing with Lodro, he teaches students how to incorporate meditation into their lives at home.

The Buddha Who Walked into a Bar

Lodro Rinzler, author of the best-selling book The Buddha Walks Into a Bar: A Guide to Life for a New Generation, has carved his own niche in the practice of Buddhism, tailoring the ancient spiritual teachings to a modern, western lifestyle. It's a balance he's struck since college, where he created a Buddhist House that hosted 18 students and a large meditation room. His accessible teachings have appeared in a regular column he writes for The Huffington Post entitled "What Would Sid Do." Most recently, Lodro has turned his columns into a book, Walk Like a Buddha, which offers tips for living with integrity, compassion, and happiness.
