The Marvelous Wonderettes revives the high-school glee clubs of yore with a revue of more than 20 girl-group hits from the 1950s and 1960s. Rock, bop, and mumble the lyrics along with such delightful ditties as "Lollipop," "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss)," and "It's My Party (And I'll Eat 90 Moon Pies If I Want To)." The poppy musical tells the story of a quartet of lady crooners—Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy—as they perform at their high-school prom, then reunite to sing together again at their 10-year reunion.
