A new comedian steps into the spotlight from Thursday to Saturday every week. Radio personality Mickey Cucchiella (December 13–15), heard every weekday morning on WIYY 98 Rock, practices a politically incorrect philosophy during his unfiltered standup act. A local favorite who last year participated in Magooby’s record-setting 81-hour comedy marathon, Cucchiella enlivens unabashed discussions of such topics as visiting the OB/GYN with his wife. The following weekend, Marc Unger (December 20–22) might split sides with musings on the love triangle between himself, his wife, and American Pickers or the justness of prohibition laws for senior citizens. Unger has been seen locally in his one-man play, Drinking Up the Pieces, and nationally in a guest spot on HBO’s Veep, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
