What You'll Do
Pick up your camera and join professional photographer Mattie Ettenheim for a photo workshop that breaks down the difference between good and bad portraits. Mattie helps you sharpen your own eye while revealing the secrets of camera setup, poses, and angles before moving on to group pictures, where she covers the fine art of people positioning. All lighting equipment is provided, but you should bring your own camera.

Each event is capped at 25 participants; each event requires a minimum of 8 participants in order to take place.
Professional photographer and NYC native Mattie Ettenheim has spent years snapping portraits of New Yorkers of all ages. She developed an interest in photography during college, and her hobby gradually became her passion and livelihood. Mattie currently works as a portrait photographer at an Upper West Side studio, where she coaxes natural smiles out of even the most stubborn subjects.
