For their third annual The Big Ticket concert, Jacksonville alternative-rock station X102.9 pulls out all the stops, packing the spacious riverside park with a music fan’s wish list of indie juggernauts and modern-rock legends. Topping the bill of this year’s gilded lineup, Chicago hardcore punk rockers Rise Against unleash their signature blend of melody and straight-edge anarchy in blistering tracks from their eight-album catalog. Gavin Rossdale and Bush open up a razorblade suitcase of ‘90s hits such as “Machinehead” and “Everything Zen,” along with return-to-form grunge tunes from their latest album The Sea of Memories. Perhaps inspiring the evening’s longest and loudest sing-alongs, the ubiquitous fun. continues their yearlong victory lap with piano-driven anthems from their album Some Nights, such as the inescapable No. 1 smash “We Are Young,” all delivered with lead singer Nate Ruess’s seamless tenor.

Further acts include the swoon-to-scream soundscapes of Silversun Pickups, who recall the '90s alternative scene with fuzz-drenched hits such as “Lazy Eye.” Anberlin unleashes emo cuts with a serrated edge, and seven-piece Celtic tour horses Flogging Molly induce audience-wide jigs with music that owes as much to punk as it does to traditional Irish instrumentation such as fiddle, accordion, and tin whistle. Grouplove fuse indie-pop and sunny electronica, most notably with the sugary synthesizers and folky strumming of their No. 1 hit “Tongue Tied.” In the weeks leading up to the festival, even more esteemed and popular acts will be announced on The Big Ticket website.

Due to security restrictions, G-Passes must be printed out and presented in person at the event. They cannot be redeemed through Groupon's mobile app.
