Hy-Vee Hall rumbles with the sights and sounds of bone-rattling slams during MCC 48: McBride vs. Jenkins, which will pit professional MMA fighters against each other during 12 bruise-filled bouts. During the evening's main event, undefeated Michael McBride trades punches, holds, and physician referrals with Doug Jenkins, a fearsome competitor fighting for a shot at the MCC lightweight title, which is currently held by one of McBride's training partners, Johnny Case. In the featherweight division, Eric Howser returns to the ring to fight Matt Young, whom he has defeated twice previously. Howser was knocked out in less than a minute in an April bout, but lobbied MMC matchmaker Ryan Hass to schedule him for a shot at redemption in MCC 48, despite being the best man at a wedding taking place the following weekend. Other bouts include a female flyweight clash between Alex Stobbe and Deatra Brandel, and a 215-catchweight rumble with Andy Stock and Josh Christensen.
