In a Nutshell

Guests attempt to break the Guinness World Record, win a $10,000 cash prize and dance to live music at this massive musical-chairs festival

The Fine Print

Chairs work hard to support the backs of office workers, moviegoers, and the life-size Marlon Brando dolls with whom most people share their dinner. Give a bench a break with this GrouponLive deal to the 2012 Musical Chairs World Championship at Amesbury Sports Park on Saturday, June 16. For $35, you get two registration tickets (up to a $79.50 value, including all fees). Choose from the following check-in times:

  • 9 a.m.
  • 10:15 a.m.
  • 11:30 a.m.
  • 1:15 p.m.

During the 2012 Musical Chairs World Championship, more than 8,000 participants are expected to boogie to the whims of a DJ as they eye up a seat to snag. Musical sitters will assemble during four separate waves, hoping to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Game of Musical Chairs ever played since the birthday party of the world's most popular fourth-grader. When the seat-snagging action comes to a close, the winner will be crowned with a $10,000 cash prize.

While snacking on concessions (not included with this Groupon), guests can catch an earful of live music from festival openers including U2 tribute band Joshua Tree and dance-rock darlings Endway.

Contact the Musical Chairs World Championship at info@MusicalChairsWC.com for questions or hours.

The Groupon Guide to: This Little Piggy

The lines (and pigs) of the children's nursery rhyme "This Little Piggy" correspond to the toes of the human foot, but the rhyme neglects to mention that people have 10 toes total. Here are the piggies for the second foot:

This little piggy went to Croatia for a crazy weekend.

This little piggy developed mild agoraphobia.

This little piggy ate roast beef, then experimented with eating pork.

This little piggy never questioned his life choices and was happiest for not doing so.

And this little piggy cried all the way home. Didn't cry anything particular. Just … cried.

Which little piggy went home and which one never left the house?
