The Scouting Report

The Mets charge back onto the field in April in pursuit of their first playoff appearance since 2006, when the team fell to the eventual World Series champions, the St. Louis Cardinals, in the NLCS. Despite missing the postseason in 2012, the Mets celebrated several key accomplishments, particularly on the mound, where the pitching staff led all of baseball in quality starts.
