Finnish DJ and producer Ville Virtanen’s alter ego, Darude, knows how to make a crowd move. Since the release of his platinum hit “Sandstorm” in 1999, he’s headlined spirited tours that take him around the globe. Singles such as “Feel the Beat,” “Music,” and “Next To You” further catapulted the mixmaster into the club-music stratosphere thanks to his feverish blend of progressive trance, tech, house, and heavy-metal samples.
