The Scouting Report
During last year's regular season, the Providence Bruins were hands-down the top team in the AHL. They skated to a league-best 50-21 record, amassing an impressive 105 points in the process. Now, nearly two months into the 2013-14 campaign, this season's squad continues to maintain those same winning ways. As part of the competitive Atlantic Division, the Bruins fend off foes behind center Ryan Spooner, the team's leading scorer through 18 games. Instead of driving a black and gold Zamboni to work everyday, P-Bruins fans can show their support during home games at Dunkin' Donuts Center while also collecting promotional giveaways, such as thundersticks on December 6 or cinch sacks on December 13.
From the Calder Cup championship team of 1998–99 to the holders of the league's best record in 2007–08, the P-Bruins have a long history of producing quality players and offering up an engaging and intimate environment in which to watch the star athletes of tomorrow and star zamboni operators of today. The team's history as a perennial playoff contender has prepared many of its star alumni to advance to the NHL and play for the Boston Bruins.
