With another season etched into the record books, basketball's elite congregate at the Prudential Center to decide the fate of 60 of the game's burgeoning talents. After winning the draft lottery, which determined the team order by forcing owners to slam-dunk numbered ping-pong balls, the New Orleans Hornets will tip off the evening with the coveted first selection. All signs point to 19-year-old power forward Anthony Davis as the presumptive pick, following an exceptional freshman season at Kentucky in which the 6'9" defensive powerhouse led the NCAA with 187 blocked shots—more than double his school's previous record. Like a neighbor's mailbox, the rest of the field is filled with exciting surprises, including such likely top-five prospects as forward Andre Drummond, who put up 10 double-doubles last season with Connecticut, and power forward Thomas Robinson, whose near-record 463 rebounds with Kansas recalled that school's other king of the backboard—Wilt Chamberlain.

Once the home of the team formerly known as New Jersey Nets, the Prudential Center holds a special significance for Anthony Davis; the last time he stepped off its court, Kentucky was on its way to the Final Four as the NCAA's East Regional champions. Guiding Light: Many advicetronauts (industry term) would suggest that you analyze whether or not this relationship is going anywhere. That’s dumb. Perhaps your house is not cool enough. How many marble pillars are there? If you are able to tally them without losing count, the answer is not enough. Make it nice.
