In this timeless Brothers Grimm fairy tale, a long-haired maiden is trapped in a high tower, guarded by an evil witch. When Mother Gothel calls out, "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!" the young lady lowers her seemingly endless locks, allowing the woman to climb up the tower wall and teach her about the world. But when a valiant prince stumbles upon the tower, and Rapunzel lets her hair down for him, the heroine's real adventure begins. Throughout the story, children will thrill at the action and adults will relive their memories of gym-class rope-climbing tests.
Actor, philosopher, and all-around Renaissance man Johannes Galli has spent more than 25 years adapting age-old stories for the modern child. Taking the grim out of Grimm's Fairy Tales, each of his shows engages audiences with colorful onstage action, capturing youthful attentions while sneaking in important lessons about the power of kindness or the gradual extinction of witches. Pint-sized viewers aren't expected to sit quietly, either. Actors interact directly with their audience, mixing with the crowd and even inviting wee ones on stage to aid in the storytelling.
