Without dance, people could only hum along to "Macarena," and Jane Austen characters would be forced to say what was really on their minds. Let movements speak with this Groupon.

Rejuvenation: No Boundaries, No Borders
Everything's fair game in AZDance Group's season-finale showcase, whether it's ballet, jazz, or challenging modern dance. The company's professional dancers are joined onstage by members of its children's company, a pre-professional apprentice company, and the Movement E-Motion (MEM) company, a program for differently-abled dancers and at-risk teens. Together, the artists premier all-new work designed to inspire and occasionally provoke thought. Immediately following final bows, a Q&A session with some of the artists allows audience members to ask questions such as "What inspires you?" and "There are springs on the bottom of those toe shoes, right?"
AZDance Group is a company for just about everyone: professional dancers, sure, but also a children's company, an open community group, and Movement E-Motion, which features individuals with Down Syndrome and other different abilities. What's more impressive, these diverse groups often come together onstage, frequently joined by guest artists who have jetéd across the ocean to join them. In assembling these showcases, founder and artistic director Kenda Newbury draws on the connections she's made over the course of a nearly-three-decade career that's included an MFA from The Boston Conservatory, co-choreographer of Super Bowl XXX Half-Time with Ms. Diana Ross & Radio City Productions and performances with Ballet West, Ballet de Americas, Chicago Lyric and renowned concert-dance and entertainment choreographers.
