A ballerina must practice for hundreds of hours in order to perfect her movements, much as a geneticist must create hundreds of abominations before perfecting a clone of his childhood cat. Behold what practice has wrought with this GrouponLive deal.

Snow White

A beautiful, kind-hearted princess. A jealous queen. Seven dwarves. The familiar characters of the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tale Snow White spring to life on stage thanks to BalletFleming and the Tricia Sloan Dance Center. Moving through choreography by BalletFleming artistic director Christopher Fleming, the brave young girl and her animal friends act out a story of love, renewal, and an apple no doctor recommends eating.

Go For Baroque

Modern movement meets 17th-century melody in Go For Baroque, a mixed repertoire of dance inspired by baroque music. Choreography by Christopher Fleming, as well as award-winning artist Elishka Vitanovska-Mayer, accompanies music of the Baroque period, which, like Liberace's monster truck, is characterized by a mix of dramatic embellishment, lacy ornamentation, and understated power.

BalletFleming

Lewis Carroll, The Who, and Edgar Allen Poe have something in common: Christopher Fleming. Their varied catalogs inspired new works from the dancer and choreographer, who has received widespread acclaim for his balletic take on classic stories. He brings that unconventional eye to his eponymous BalletFleming, where he helms seasons featuring world-premiere productions. But while the source material may range from Gothic literature to 1960s rock 'n' roll, the company's mission remains the same: to stage visually striking, emotionally moving dance performances.
