The Marana Senior Prom evokes the high-school soirees of the '40s, '50s, and '60s with a big-band orchestra sure to spur spontaneous jitterbugs and swoon-worthy slow dances. Festivities kick off at 4 p.m. with cocktails and dinner from a trio of local restaurants, including Noble Hops’ gastropub bites, Vero Amore’s wood-fired pizza, and The Station Pub & Grill’s classic American fare. The first strains of Memories Big Band’s set herald the opening of the dance floor at 5 p.m., allowing dancers to kick up their heels and break dance to the beloved classics of Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller. Dessert will be served during intermission at 6 p.m. Before the king and queen are crowned, attendees can play “spin-to-win” games and peruse the collection of senior-living vendors.
