Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance Presents “Cocktails & Classics”

Sharp suits, beautiful dresses, fine food, and swinging tunes bring the 1940s back to vivid life at this second-annual gala thrown to benefit the Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance. Guests gather in the open air to enjoy a spread set up by the mall’s retailers—in an elegant black, white, and red theme—including appetizers, cocktails, and desserts. Nearby, a runway showcases fashions inspired by a bygone time. The evening’s soundtrack is supplied by the 16 musicians of Memories Big Band, who play the classic tunes of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt while attendees dance.
