The Lego Movie

Emmet is an ordinary Lego who follows the rules and doesn’t ask questions. But when he’s mistaken for The Most Extraordinary Person, his world suddenly gets very interesting, especially since he’s been tasked with saving it. Meanwhile, President Business and his right-Lego-hand man, Bad Cop/Good Cop, do everything in their power to stop Emmet in this fast-paced and witty film starring the voices of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, and Elizabeth Banks.

Despicable Me 2

Gru, a former supervillain with the voice of Steve Carell, left evil deeds behind in order to be a dad and open a jelly-making business. But when the Anti-Villain League needs his help to find out who stole a secret lab in the Arctic Circle, Gru reluctantly joins them. As they search for the culprit, Gru finds himself falling for Lucy, the agent he’s working alongside who sounds just like Kristen Wiig, complicating matters for him while delighting his daughters.

State Theatre

The State Theatre was saved, as its website states, from “the ravages of time.” Built in 1921 as a vaudeville and silent-film palace, the venue fell on hard times in the 1970s. In 2003, however, a $3 million renovation restored the State Theatre to much of its original glory, as crews painstakingly rehabbed the ornamental plaster, terracotta exterior, and actor holding cells. Inside the theater, a stunning chandelier sparkles more brightly than ever below the venue’s signature dome.
