Two figures take the stage, their faces painted a bright white except for the black surrounding their eyes. Sometimes dressed all in black, sometimes donning sports jerseys, the duo swaggers as they spit rhymes about the sinister side of the universe. This is Twiztid, a hardcore hip-hop act known just as much for their raw, unapologetic lyrics and horrorcore stylings as they are for their theatrical performances. The men behind the skin masks, known as Jamie Madrox and Monoxide Child, have been spreading their disdain for pop music and the culture that creates it since they released their first album, Mostasteless, in 1997. After appearing on the cover of Alternative Press magazine, snagging the #18 spot on the Billboard Top 200 for their album Abominationz, and collaborating with Three 6 Mafia, they return with their latest recording, A New Nightmare, for fans and bed pillows that don't mind being hurtled in fear. During their concert, Twiztid regales listeners with hits that may include "Down With Us," "Raw Deal," and "We Don't Die." Before they take the stage, fellow intense acts ABK and Aqualeo warm up the crowd with pulse-pounding jams.
