**The Dan Band’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart”**
_Warning: coarse language and hand gestures lacking in prudence_

Smirking, wide-eyed frontman Dan Finnerty and [The Dan Band](http://www.thedanband.com) vaulted into national prominence in the 2003 film _Old School_ with an expletive-laden version of Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” Since then, Dan has packed clubs across the country with fans clamoring for his unabashed version of Salt-n-Pepa's sensual ""Shoop,"" Christina Aguilera's teenybopping ""Genie in a Bottle,"" and Alanis Morissette's unhinged angst in ""You Oughta Know."" The Dan Band’s silly showmanship and penchant for ticklish vulgarity has also led to appearances in _The Hangover_, where they flipped 50 Cent’s “Candy Shop,” and a one-hour concert special entitled _The Dan Band: I Am Woman_, which was executive produced by Steven Spielberg after he was charmed by their uncensored version of the theme to _Jaws_.

####Badfish – A Tribute to Sublime Since the untimely death of Sublime’s lead singer, Bradley Nowell, in 1996, fans have flocked to Badfish's shows to hear faithful live renditions of tracks from the ska-punk legends' three-album catalog. The group has mastered Sublime's good-time essence, upstroke guitar, and copious genre-bending, creating a fan base that fills arenas while scoring praise from [Spin](http://gr.pn/ILr7J9) and [Rolling Stone](http://gr.pn/J1x5Qw), who heralded them as “one of the most successful tribute bands out there.” Even Sublime's drummer Bud Gaugh is a fan—his band Del Mar has opened for Badfish on tour.
