2013–14 Season

  • </i>The Children’s Nutcracker</i> (December 7): An all-student cast sets the tale of live toys battling a mouse queen’s minions to one of Tchaikovsky’s most recognizable scores. Original choreography puts a new spin on young Clara’s adventures with her nutcracker prince while eye-catching costumes transport audiences to the Land of Snow and the Land of Sweets.
  • The Legend of Oran (March 29): A young man searches for the legendary Oran, where the final battle in the centuries-old war between the Light Elves and the Dark Elves is destined to take place. Soon he finds himself torn between the princess of the Light and the ruler of the Dark, forcing him to question why his heart seems so treasured to both.
  • An Evening at the Ballet (May 31): Three original ballets grace the stage, considering the love and loneliness of the sun and moon, presenting a murder-mystery plot loosely based on Clue, and dazzling with costumes and choreography based on rubies, sapphires, and diamonds.
  • The Voyage of the Merry Jane (August 2): Choreographer Kiersten Borowski and writer Jessica Baluyut teamed up to craft this high-seas adventure. A young pirate and an adventure-ready stowaway encounter mermaids, gypsies, fairies, and the reason no one drinks salt water as they sail the ocean blue.<p>
