A hearse carrying a vaudeville troupe breaks down on the side of the road, prompting its passengers to wander toward a dimly lit hotel in hopes of finding a helpful innkeeper or a working telephone. Before long, the visitors encounter a series of horrifying happenings, from ominous illusions to a murderer who will stop at nothing until the whole crew has been slaughtered. Comedy, burlesque dancing, and magic tricks lighten the heavy subject matter of the show, whose ending is in part determined online by the audience in the weeks leading up to the performance.
