A good impersonation can be indistinguishable from the real thing, which is why Method actors are no longer allowed to play dictators. Take in a safer form of imitation with this GrouponLive deal to see Tuesday’s Gone: Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute at The Fillmore Charlotte. For $6.50, you get one G-Pass for general admission on Friday, April 12, at 9 p.m. (up to a $13 value, including all fees). Tuesday’s Gone

According to Tuesday’s Gone, there are two kinds of Skynyrd fans: those who saw the band in its ’70s glory and those who wish they saw the band in its ’70s glory. A Southern-fried peach of a tribute act, Tuesday’s Gone aims to please Lynyrd Skynyrd fans of all stripes and gives them an apropos excuse to yell “Free Bird.” With the husky vocals of singer Ryan King, the two-pronged guitar wrangling of Noble O’Rourke and John Pereksta, and the shuffling beats of Jason Patterson, the band meticulously embodies every iota of Skynyrd’s look, sound, and aura. Note by note, the band rebuilds monster hits such as “Gimme Three Steps,” “Saturday Night Special,” and the irresistible “Sweet Home Alabama” with surgical precision. They also delve into deep cuts such as “Gimme Back My Bullets” and “Down South Jukin’” for the true-blue Skynyrd fans.

Due to security restrictions, G-Passes must be printed out and presented in person at the event. They cannot be redeemed through Groupon's mobile app.
