The Scouting Report

Off to a blistering 9–1 start, the Terrapins look to rack up two more wins against the Stony Brook Seawolves and—in an Atlantic Coast Conference showdown—the Boston College Eagles. Second-year coach Mark Turgeon guides a roster anchored by sophomore center Alex Len, who has used his 7’1” frame to net a team-high 13.9 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, fellow second-year Dez Wells has emerged as a force around the perimeter, pouring in 12.4 points per contest while employing skilled entry passes, at least until he learns telekinesis in Physics 401.<p>

University of Maryland Terrapins

As the winners of 25 NCAA team championships, the University of Maryland Terrapins have grown into one of the elite collegiate programs across both men’s and women’s sports. On the Comcast Center court, the Terrapins women’s basketball team has claimed the Atlantic Coast Conference championship more than nine times, and in 2006, the year dubbed as “Overtime is Our Time,” the women’s team won the national championship beating ACC-Rival Duke in overtime, the sixth overtime victory for Maryland in that season.
