Set in 1953, Packers Fans from Outer Space introduces audiences to apple farmer and Door County resident Harvey Kiester, whose proud affection for his favorite Midwestern football team can be seen from outer space. Much to the consternation of his Bears-loving wife, Marge, Harvey paints their outhouse Packers green and gold, inadvertently beckoning fellow Cheeseheads from far beyond the Badger State. Decked out in shiny spaces suits that bear a striking resemblance to football uniforms, the Galactic Packers and their fedora-wearing, catchphrase-spitting, victory-obsessed captain known as "Coach" seek out the help of the "Big Kiester" in their eternal struggle against the ravenous Space Bears. Filled with sight gags, cornball humor, and surprisingly hummable songs, the wacky musical ultimately preaches a philosophy of peace, inspiring respect between worthy opponents, whether they're competing on the playing field or the space-time continuum.
