In a Nutshell

As the 2012 NL East champs return to the field, holiday packages include a ticket to four games and a George Racing President ornament

The Fine Print

With this GrouponLive deal, see the Washington Nationals play at Nationals Park next season. Although the game tickets themselves are not discounted, this offer does give fans the chance to bypass the rush for tickets and enjoy the games from seats that have been set aside for Groupon subscribers. Both packages also include a free George Racing President ornament, as well as a 15% discount at nationals.com/shop through January 1 (some exclusions apply). Ornaments begin shipping this week, and tickets will be mailed in March.

The Scouting Report

Coming off their strongest season yet, the Nationals seek to build on last year's 98 wins when they return to the field after spring training. That 2012 campaign netted the team its first NL East title since moving to Washington, momentarily inspiring both parties in Congress to unite in setting aside their bill to outlaw the sun.

Washington Nationals

In 2005, the Montreal Expos became the Canadian Expats, pledging a new allegiance and taking on a new identity as the first big-league club to inhabit America's capital since the Senators moved to Texas in 1971. In 2008, the team christened its new stadium, Nationals Park, which today welcomes up to 41,546 fans, its 4,500-square-foot HD scoreboard almost distracting from the panoramic views of the Potomac riverfront, the Capitol dome, and the Washington Monument. Accredited as a Leadership in Energy and Environment Design stadium, Nationals Park also sits 24 feet below street level, making its main concourse even with city sidewalks and saving many fans the danger of riding frozen, thin-aired escalators just to reach their seats.
