No, unfortunately this particular laser (and most out there) do not treat blonde or white hair. One Groupon does not cover entire face. You must purchase TWO of these deals for the face.

I’ve had laser hair removal in the past and only need touch up treatments but in multiple areas. For example, each underarm would need one zap since there are only a couple of hairs that have come back; and my legs need about 5 zaps each in order to clean up the regrowth. How would this Groupon apply to my situation? Would your company require that I purchase multiple Groupons to cover this situation? What do you typically charge for clean up/regrowth treatments? Hi Lori,

Most people generally do need touch-ups, as everyone’s hair growth varies. This deal is a great price and it is probably best, since it is so cost-effective, to buy an additional deal to cover touch ups. We do have a touch up price for our clients that buy packages at regular price. But this does not apply for Groupon deals.

Thank you for your response, but it was non-responsive. You still have not answered the question of how you would handle this situation of only needing touch ups? Are you saying that I would need to buy a Groupon for each area? For example, by the terms of your Groupon, I would have to purchase 4 Groupons to cover the touch up for my legs? Then another 1 Groupon to cover my underarms? Please be specific so that I may decide whether to participate in your Groupon offering. The areas where I need touch up are my underarms, bikini and legs. Again, no area needs more than a handful of zaps to clean it back up.

Is the upper lip and chin considered full face?

So if I purchase this groupon, can I have my underarms done for the price of this groupon. I am blonde. My underarm hair is dark, but I don’t have a lot of hair.

Does your particular machine work on coarser, dark African-American hair? I was told that there are certain machines that are specific for African-American hair. Are there any additional risks or additional number of treatments needed for this hair type, especially in the underarms? Also, if I were to do the treatments, how often would I need to come in?

Sorry if i was still unclear. If you have previously have had laser and need touch-ups on your underarms, bikini and legs then yes, i would suggest you purchase ONE groupon for you bikini, FOUR for your legs and ONE for your underarms. This deal is very cost effective considering laser touch-ups at our spa are usually half the price of a regular session. For example, if you purchase a session of 8 laser treatements for underarms ($150 each) your touch up price would be about $75 each time you came in. I hope this response helps :-)

If you only want to do your lower legs (that area requires the purchase of TWO Groupons), i would only recommend that you buy TWO of these deals. So you basically are buying 4 Groupons which you can easily use in one year or once every 4 weeks.

Yes the YAG laser treats coarse thick hair and is safe on African American skin. What i have found is that people with coarser hair, regardless of their ethnicity, tend to require more treatments on their problem areas. There are no risks under the arms at all. Treatments are recommended once every 4 to 6 weeks

Yes, ONE Groupon covers both underams. The length of treatments vary from person to person. Since everyones hair growth is so different, it is difficult to tell you how many you need until i see how you respond to a few treatments.

The entire Back requires 4 Groupons, the Stomach requires 3 Groupons and the Chest requires 3 Groupons. Six treatments is the minimum to get started into the hair-free zone. Generally you see significant hair reduction which does lead to permanent hair loss for good. People who do multiple treatments on a consistent cycle (every 4 weeks) have a very good results. It does vary in each individual.

If I just want my upper lip done, do I only need to purchase 1 groupon? I don’t have very much hair, how many times do you think I will need to be lasered?

The Bikini area just requires the purchase of ONE groupon. We only work on hair around your bikini line leaving the rest in the interior. I would suggest that you purchase TWO of these deals so you can get 12 sessions for that area which you probably will end up needing.

Can your body withstand several areas treated at one time? Yes you would need to purchase ONE Groupon to treat your upper lip. Although you may not have that much hair, you need to know that the upper lip is the most stubborn area on a woman’s face and you will need a minimum of six for sure to treat that area effectively.

Yes you can do laser treatments on your bottom area. I can do many areas within one session. The laser parameters are set at a very safe level so a client can come in and do, for example: entire legs, underarms, bikini line and face at the same appointment. Which areas did you want to do?

This deal just seems too good to be true and there must be a catch to it. I talked to my boyfriend about it and he says his coworker says that you all might be using “cheaper stuff” resulting in scarring or not doing as great of a job as the regular priced sessions because this is really cheap. I am in the same boat as Amy G…I’d would like to be hair free on my face, underarms, stomach, bikini (full brazilian), and legs. I am looking at spending at least $1200. Unfortuately I was “blessed” with pale skin and dark hair. But I guess that would make me a good candidate? No we do not use any lasers on anyone that is pregnant. ONE Groupon would treat just the sideburns. If we have to go further on your cheeks, that would require the purchase of TWO.

Some lasers can cause pigmentation. But generally speaking, as long as any laser is run on a parameter that is safe, you wont see this occur.

One more question. I am interested in doing my bikini line. However, I have very little and sparse hair out side of my bikini line. I would be interested going about an inch to the inside of my bikini line in the front only, but not a brazilian. Would that be covered by 1 groupon?

Let’s say I can start coming in in October, then, a couple months after the baby has come and my skin has some time to settle back into non-pregnancy mode. If I start in October, that only give me about six months to complete the six treatments. Is there anyway to extend the expiration date because I won’t be able to get all six in if the appts. are 6 weeks apart.

We do not provide the numbing agents. You can purchase those over the counter at any Walgreens or CVS and apply 30 min. prior to treatment. As far as the timing between appts goes, we can do your sideburns every 4 weeks so you will be able to complete your sessions in the alloted time.

So just to confirm… I would be able to buy enough group ons for 12 sessions if I wanted, to hopefully be rid of hair completely?

Yes laser technololgy has significantly advanced and improved in the last few years. We do not “guarantee” that after 6 sessions your hair will be gone. But you will see a huge difference after 6 sessions. For some people, depending on their race/hair type/hair growth, the hair disappears very quickly. But for others, it takes longer.

I also have “sideburns” and upper lip I would like to get done. Would this all be included in the full face? I do not have hair on my forehead. I am thinking about buying one session and treating the underarms. actually, i had laser hair removal before and it didn’t work too well, but it did help. So i don’t think i will need whole 6 sessions to treat the remaining hair in my under arms.
If i find i only need 3 sessions can i transfer remaining 3 sessions to do my bikini line (i think i will only need a few sessions there as well).

I have a question regarding full face. I have had approximatley 10 sessions at another spa, I have noticed some re-growth and would like to purchase this fantastic deal. I feel that for my face I only need 6 sessions, spead 4 weeks apart, however, from the previous spa my full face, included cheeks,side burns, upper lip and chin area, you know full face; however, I read where you replied to someone that full face was cheeks and forehead? A little confused by that. Most people do not have hair on their foreheads. Can you please explain? Similar to Melissa M’s question – I basically want everything gone in my bikini area except for about a 2″ × 2″ patch (sorry for the graphic question folks). Will that be one or 2 groupons?

The 2 groupons for lower legs is NOT for 12 sessions…it’s for six sessions. ONE groupon covers the areas listed in the fine print – upper lip, chin, brow, ears, neck, underarms, and bikini line. If you want additional services you need to read the body of the offer. It takes 4 groupons to do BOTH entire legs. This does NOT mean that you get 24 sessions, it means you get 6 sessions on each of your entire legs. So, for all of the following services, you need that many groupons to get SIX sessions on that area:

full arms (3 Groupons), upper legs (2), lower legs (2), full leg (4), man back (4), full stomach (3), full Brazilian (2), and full face (2)

Some of you are asking questions repeatedly that are clearly explained if you just READ THE GROUPON OFFER…some of the other questions she’s already answered if you read the entire discussion.

How much time does it take to get an area treated? I’m guessing for tougher hair/more of it would take longer. How soon can you come in for the next treatment? For example, if I was wanted to do armpits, how soon would you say I could be finished?

I have a couple of questions:

1) I have already had some laser removal sessions on my body and I am as such not interested in getting 6 sessions. Is there anyway to buy groupons enough for 3 sessions? I still want to treat multiple areas.

2) It seems like for people that want their full body treated, just ONE YEAR would be too little time to come in for say: 6 sessions x 6 body areas = 36 different days. It’ll be a bit less if I did two areas in one day, but that’s still a lot of time. Is there any chance you might be able to relax the expiration date for the groupons? I live far from Irving and have a busy full time job.

Also, does the full face not cover the upper lip, chin, nose and skin below the jaw? I am pretty sure the full face includes all these areas. If I had to purchase separate groupons for all these areas in case they are not included in the full face price, it would be VERY COST INEFFECTIVE. Please clarify. Thanks.

The girl from the spa has already explained that you can combine the groupons to get other services. If you read through the posts, she says it multiple times.

And you can have multiple areas done on the same day – so if you want to do your whole body, you can do it all in the same day, and you only go to the spa 6 times – or once a month.

I would like to have my legs done, but skirt/short season is just beginning. If I bought 4 groupons for my entire legs, would I have enough time to complete the 6 sessions if I started in September? Thank you.

I called the salon and they had a totally different story to tell. Apparently, you cannot buy less than 6 sessions for each body area. This is according to the people that answered the phone, and I really don’t have the time to read over a hundred posts. I did not get a call from the supervisor yet to get a confirmation, and from what you have told me, I guess I really should confirm before I buy the groupons.

I’ve already purchased the Groupon (1 session for lip) so how do I make an appt? Are you actually answering your phone on a day like this?

I will say if you have bought one to please possibly wait to schedule your appointment a couple of days please.

Yes you cannot buy less than the 6 treatments per area. That’s how this Groupon works. And once again, we cannot split up treatments.

Bitter-sweet – I never said you could buy less than 6. You can’t – the groupon is a package of 6. You can’t transfer them to another area, if you don’t use all of them, you lose them. Each groupon is for 6 sessions. Period.

What you can do is buy 2 groupons and combine them to have your lower legs done. You still only get 6 sessions – you just get a bigger part of your body done. So, it’s $99 for the services listed in the detail. It’s $198 for the services that require 2 groupons (lower legs, upper legs, brazilian, full face), and so on.

It’s really not that hard. And it’s really not a scam. The only “catch” is – if you purchase 2 groupons for your under arms, you get 12 sessions. If you only need 10, you don’t get to transfer the last 2 sessions and you don’t get any of your money back. All in all, though, that really doesn’t matter – because if you can find laser hair removal for your underarms, and get 12 sessions for less than $200; well…good luck with that.

And for everyone thats asking about the fine print, the guidelines for other areas are clearly marked in the second paragraph…..Back (4 groupons), Full legs (4 groupons), 1/2 legs (2 groupons), Stomach (3 groupons), Full arms (3 groupons). I know this has been addressed somewhat, but in your best opinion, if I want to have a full brazilian treatment, how many groupons should I purchase in order to ensure that I have enough treatments for follow-ups and the best chance of permanent hair removal (I understand that the area requires 2 groupons for the treatment)? Would I be somewhat safe sticking with simply the 2 groupons, or would it be more likely that I would need to purchase 4, giving me 12 treatments? She told me that you guys prefer that the area being treated be shaven when you come in. When I had this done 10 years ago, it was actually the opposite… that they wanted the hair to be a bit grown out. Please confirm that it is correct that we shave before going in.

I need to answer an important question from above regarding bringing children to the appointments. Children are not allowed in the room during laser and unless you bring, someone to watch them in the waiting area, we will not be able to do your laser.

I read that you should not use the YAG laser if you are white skinned or have fine hair, this laser is better for darker skin tones. Online it says the IPL laser is best for white skin types. I have already bought a groupon and now I am worried. Is this true?

If you find out you are pregnant can you postpone the rest of the sessions and pick up after the baby is born?

This is important to me: from looking at your website, it says the procedure permanently " _reduces_" hair… So will it be truly “hair no more” (if I do 6 + another 6 for touch up), or will it eventually grow back anyway??

BTW, for the comment that says another spa offers $99 for the whole body per month — even if it’s true, do the math. If you have to wait 4 wks btw treatments, it is not a good deal, since 6 sessions (a month apart) will end up costing $600.00. Unless you have more than 6 areas to treat…. and you know the place is reputable… Otherwise, what’s the point in unlimited zappings if you are not allowing time for hair follicles to re-grow?… I might be wrong, this is just a thought.

Six treatments definitely get you started in the right direction. It is true…lasers reduce the hair and eventually lead to permanent hair loss. Some areas, including the face, tend to sprout new hair as you age, or might change if you are hormonal or on certain medications.

If you become pregnant during the time of your treatment, you can definitely postpone the treatments until after your beautiful baby arrives :-)

You cannot wax once you start laser hair removal. There has to be hair in the follicle for it to effectively treated. If you have waxed, you need to wait 2-3 weeks before starting your laser.
The TWO groupons for lower legs does include the knee. And there are no hidden fees. What you see is what you get :-))

Here is the actual break down for what you want:

Mens back (including shoulders) is FIVE groupons (shoulder area adds 1 to the back)
Men’s upper arms is TWO groupons. (area is usually double the size of a womans)
Men’s back of neck is ONE groupons
Men’s front of neck is TWO groupons

and the woman’s is accurate. Please note that men are extremely sensitive with the laser. This is due to the fact that the pain level increases on those areas that have coarse, dense hair. Please advise this to the gentleman before purchasing

We DO NOT laser around the eyebrows, only above them. The Face is considered the cheeks all the way down to jaw line and on forehead. Some people do have hair on that area. The upper lip and chin are considered 2 separate areas.

The hair needs to be completely shaven prior to your treatment. You will space your appts. 4 to 6 weeks apart and you can shave between appt times.

so glad the deal is still on!, I lost time with a busy day. I definately want to purchase 2 for my lower legs, but with it being close to summer, I am in the sun alot and get pretty tan, which limits my ability to laser (from experience on bikini area, got burned!) until the tan fades, not til Jan or Feb. I have 2 questions: 1) what is the cylce of regrowth on the lower leg? 4 or 6 weeks? if it is 4 weeks, then I can fit in 4 sessions before intense sun. But that doesn’t leave me much time to fit in the last 2 for next Feb and March. Well, I have looked into Smooth Solutions and the Celebrity one posted earlier.. Smooth Solutions is $129 per TREATMENT for full face.. and the $99 a month is only for 30 minutes of time per month. Neither are a better deal.. ..
So, I guess I’ll purchase 3 deals to make sure I get my chin, upper lip, and sideburns covered. Saima- those wouldn’t be more than 3 would they? unless I wanted additional sessions for each area?

This is totally new to my honey Joel, so I had to convince him. He is somewhat willing to try. He has sparse wild hair along his shoulders, not on his back. I love his chest hair just the way it is. Yes our groupon deal is cheaper than smooth solutions. That $129 they are offering is for the face is PER treatment. When you caluculate that its $129 × 6 = $774. Although there has been some confusion, we will require THREE groupons to do the entire face. And some have questioned how forehead is a part of the face, but it is. And even if you may not have hair on those areas, others do. Regardless, this is still an outstanding value!

Here is a few important information for all our valued clients:

Due to the overwhelming response we have extended the time. As long as you start your treatments within the first year, you will have an additional year to complete your treatments. So basically, you have up to two years to finish all treatments :-)

Laser Do’s & Don’ts

-DO NOT wax, tweeze, thread or sugar any area once you start your sessions. You can only shave or use depilatory cream.

- DO NOT use any type of Retin-A or any type of light sensitive medicine while you are undergoing laser treatments.

-DO NOT buy laser treatments if you hair is light blonde, grey or white. Laser technology works by catching the pigment in the hair & weakins it while attached to the follicle.

-DO NOT apply a ton of numbing cream to any one area. I would suggest coming in for the first treatment and then deciding whether or not you may need it. If you can tolerate waxing, you can tolerate laser. The only are that i do always suggest numbing is on a Man’s beard or neck. The hair is extremely coarse & dense and the can be very uncomfortable in those areas. You can go online and look up information about numbing agents in general and the proper use/dose for them.

DO NOT tan once you start treatments. Direct exposure to the sun for long periods of time or UV light from tanning beds can cause discoloration or hyperpigmentation on the skin. If you are an avid sunbather, i would recommend waiting for the fall to start your treatments.

-DO shave the area completely prior to your laser treatment. This is especially important for men who are lasering their back. Please have someone assist you at home in removing the hair.

-DO arrive at Glow for your appointment 10 min. prior to your start time. If you are 15 late for your appointment, you will be rescheduled as the the days are getting completely full!

DO present you Groupon to us at the time of service. Unfortunately, if you forget your coupon or have lost it, we will not be able to do any service at the time. Think of those as the Golden Tickets in the Willy Wonka Chocolate bar :)

I have been mentioning to clients that are concerned about this since summer/vacations are just around the corner to wait to start their sessions until the fall. Regrowth varies person to person. If you would like to buy two groupons for your underarms then that might be a good idea for maintenance. However note that if you buy 12 but end up only requiring 9, those remaining 3 cannot be used for any area.

Some people use numbing cream/spray to help ease some discomfort before the treatment. That is at the clients choice to purchase and use. At this time, we do not have the personnel to do male bottoms. The estimated time for each treatment varies ( A full back can take 20 to 40 min.) The lower back is considered a part of the entire back area. Please note that shoulders are separate and require the purchase of an additional groupon (1). Finally, we DO NOT guarantee that hair will be permanently gone after 6 treatments. Your reaction to the laser is very individual to you. No laser center can guarantee this to anyone….

According to the fine print this is “Valid for upper lip, chin, brow, ears, neck, underarms, and bikini line only” so this groupon cannot be used for legs?

Well I don’t know about most places but a few places did guarantee free touch ups for life if the hair did come back after 6 treatments but they are also much more expensive.

I purchased two Groupons: One to do my upper lip, and the second for my neck. I see that you typically consider the neck and chin two separate areas. However, I have only about five hairs on my neck, and one on my chin. In this case, may all five hairs on neck and chin be treated with one Groupon?

Hi – so if I wanted to purchase 2 groupons, could I only commit them 1 at a time? If I wanted to use one for 6 treatments on bikini and then decide to use the 2nd one for touch ups from previous treatments at another salon – could I do that?

I know it would probably take 12 on the bikini, but I can’t really afford to buy 3 groupons at this time and I really want to get rid of the strays on my legs and underarms (maybe 2-3 hairs each area).

You mentioned something in that response about $129 and the forehead being part of the full face. However, early on, we only needed two groupons to do an entire face. Did something change after I purchased my coupons or were you referring to another special ($129?) that requires three coupons?

I had my first session today and it was GREAT! The staff is SUPER friendly and treated me so well! Seriously, they are all awesome!
The laser treatment itself was quick and the pain was very minimum….I honestly think that getting my eyebrows waxed hurts worse! I love the salon, too…it is beautiful. I am beginning to get concerned because I called on the 5th after I purchased this groupon, and left a voicemail asking for someone to call me back so I may book my appointment. It’s been a week and 3 days now, and I have not received a call back, and everytime I try to call, nobody answers and the mailbox is full…this is VERY frustrating! Please let me know if there is a time that I should be expecting someone to return my call, or if there is a good time for me to call back. I would really like to book my appointments, especially considering I have already paid in advance.

I just had my first laser hair removal session on 4/24/10 and everyone was great. The Spa is beautiful and I really enjoyed meeting my technician. Additionally, Dr. Bukhari was able to work me in for a consult and later he filled the area of my upper lip! I had a lot of little lines and a couple of deep ones. He also …plumped my upper lip! His work is just beautiful! I came in as a Groupon client but I will now be a DEVOTED client. Thank you Dr. Bukhari! We will be talking again! I’m thinking under my eyes this next time;)

I will also write a review when I have my treatment in the next two weeks. Anyone else?

I had my first laser hair removal session yesterday at Glow and it was great! I felt very minimal discomfort, actually was not as bad as waxing. I walked in and it was such a calming atmosphere. The spa was meticulously clean and Saima was terrific! She was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable & relaxed. I cannot wait for my next appointment. I am sure I will be checking out some of the other services as well!
