Does this qualify for the DTE comprehensive energy audit's $150 rebate?

Hi Patricia, great question... these utility programs can be tricky! This $79 Home Performance Evaluation does not qualify for the $150 comprehensive audit rebate. We have chosen to simplify the audit process down to the "meat n potatoes" (aka the thermal imaging and blower door test) in order to reduce the up front cost. What's missing? The $79 Evaluation includes everything but the CAZ (Combustion Appliance Zone) testing and the extra data collection required by the utility for their records. From our perspective, we think it's funny to make you pay a lot of money up front just to find out that you have a problem. We'd rather charge a nominal fee to help you make an informed decision on how to best move forward. This includes helping you maximize all utility rebates and other available programs. Note that only DTE (Michcon) GAS customers are eligible for the $150 audit rebate. Alternatively, Consumers Energy gas customers qualify for a separate rebate program called Home Performance with Energy Star, which have a much different incentive structure.
