$10 for $20 Worth of Organic and Gluten-Free Cuisine

A vegetarian menu features seasonal dishes chock-full of healthy, natural ingredients. The veggie burger ($5) comes in six varieties, such as black bean, spicy mushroom, and lentil, and a veggie roll ($3) teems with carrots, peas, potatoes, and spices inside a wheat or gluten-free rice wrap. Curries ($4) in the form of potato, spinach, or chickpea add a piquant punch, and desserts ($4), such as mango pudding or rice pudding, add a sweet note to the end of an herbivorous feast.

Go Veggies

Genga Ponnampalam wanted to make it easier for people to eat healthy food, so after a long stint as a computer programmer, he founded Go Veggies—a vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan outfit that culls local produce and morphs it into hearty dishes, some of which hail from his native Sri Lanka. At farmers markets, grocery stores, and a café space, he and his staff delight taste buds with healthy cuisine that’s good for the environment, like carpooling or bikepooling to work. They also positively impact the community by composting their food waste and recycling their packaging.
