Over the course of four classes, pairs learn how to expertly wield lightsabers for choreographed fights that feature the spins and flourishes made famous by everyone’s favorite 1977 movie about space and lasers—"Saturday Night Fever." Classes begin with a stretching and warm-up session, and then proceed to learn fighting techniques based on Golden Gate Knights’ unique system. Each class ends with a meditation session to return students to the optimal mental state. Golden Gate Knights provides the lightsabers.

Golden Gate Knights

Golden Gate Knights began when two Star Wars fans discovered they had something in common. Alain Bloch, who also has experience with Kung Fu and other martial arts systems, and Matthew Carauddo, who is a licensed fencing instructor, joined forces and developed their own unique system to teach students how to effectively and safely wield a lightsaber. During classes they focus on techniques to develop electrifying choreographed fights, including proper warm-ups, flourishes, spins, and meditation.
