The verbiage was confusing… Am I able to purchase two tickets-one for myself and another for a friend? It states limit one per person.
Sorry it wasn’t the verbiage. The confusion lies in the “Give it as a gift” option that opened a window to notify someone else of the deal… not to indicate that it was purchased already by the gift giver.
That’s right Crystal. You may purchase one for yourself and more for friends!
I purchased 2 and am trying to edit 1 to give as a gift but am getting “error on page”. Do I have to change it to give the second one as a gift to someone? Thanks!
The fine print says, “Class minimums apply.” What is the class minimum?
April and May schedules are not posted. Does the Groupon also apply to those months?

There are 2 ways you can gift a Groupon – you can purchase multiple under your name and give 1 or more to friend(s) and they will be able to redeem it. There is also the gift option where the Groupon will have their name on it. The choice is yours! More scheduled dates will be posted as time goes on. This is valid through 9/11/10.

It says you can’t reschedule—are rain checks available, or is the lesson on rain or shine?
Serena – Club rental is only included for your Golf 101 lesson. When you come back at a later date to redeem your $20 ball card, you will have to pay for club rental. Rental is $4 for one club, $5 for two, $6 for three or $12 for a set of 10 clubs.
Megan – Golf 101 will be conducted rain or shine. Our hitting stalls are heated & weather-protected, so rain is not an issue. :)
2 questions:
1) so if I redeem the $20 ball card the day I go for the lesson I can use the clubs given for the lesson or I have to rent them?
2) does this expire?

1) When you redeem your $20 ball card (either the day of your lesson or a later date) you must rent clubs. During Golf 101, you will receive one club (a seven iron) to work on posture, grip, stance and to hit with. After that, club rental is not included.
2) This Groupon does expire on 9/11/2010, so you will have six months to redeem the offer. Right now, only March and April’s classes are on the website, but there will be classes scheduled from now through 9/11/2010.
I’m confused. I was just toggling thru the chelsea piers site and noticed that the cost of this session is $60 yet it says in the offer that this is valued at $80. It’s kind of misleading in the actual savings. See for yourself. What is the actual savings?

The regular Golf 101 classes are valued at $60 – that is correct.
The value of a $20 ball card is $20.
Therefore, the value of the total package is $80.
If you purchase the Groupon, you will pay only $35 and therefore save $45 total.

I signed up w my credit card but when I tried to register for a class it asked for my Groupon number. Where do I get this number from?
Hi Vicky! Your credit card will not be processed by Groupon until the deal is officially over (tonight at midnight or tomorrow). Therefore, you will not receive your Groupon number until you receive your Groupon via email. At that point, you can log onto www.chelseapiers.com/groupon and register for whichever class you’d like. I received confirmation that my groupon purchase was confirmed but dont have a groupon number that is needed to schedule the class
I’ve already purchased, but how soon to I actually have to pick a date for the class or can I do this anytime before 9/11?

This groupon has exploded. How does the golf course keep up with us all? Do they have a printed list or something, if I buy in I don’t want to get lost in the mix.

Seems like they’re all pretty early now.
Since so many GroupOns have been purchased, are more classes going to be added to meet the demand (right now it looks like there are only 14 offered in April)? Or are the classes really big (it says the student/teacher ratio is 10:1 though)?

Gerald, Imran & Jocelyn – This Groupon has exploded, you’re right! We are thrilled and will certainly be adding more classes! You surely will not get lost in the mix, Gerald. There will be weekend afternoon classes scheduled every month and we will continue to add classes as needed. Everyone will have a chance to redeem their Groupon. If you are looking to take a March or April class, be sure to register in advance on the website within the next few days.

I’m right there with you, Kelly C. I just tried booking a lesson with my Groupon, which also expires on Sept. 11, and there is not one available lesson. Does that mean we can’t use our Groupons??
More classes definitely need to be added as soon as possible. I would hate to not be able to use my groupon. Does anyone know if there will be some sort of resolution?

Groupon Staff, can you confirm if this has been extended to November?
I just spoke to someone at the academy and they confirmed that this in fact has been extended until the end of November 2010. On the same token they will give you a $20 ball card if you decid to forfeit the class and simply claim the ball card.
